Typical duties include:

  • Developing and implementing IT systems that meet user requirements
  • Testing systems to ensure they are functioning as intended
  • Developing user manuals and training employees to use the IT system
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues

Qualifications

To become a Systems Engineer, you could complete a:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, or another relevant subject
  • Level 4 NVQ or equivalent T Level in Software Engineering or related subject
  • Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Software Engineering or related subject
