Fuel cells can be fitted into specially designed trains to convert hydrogen fuel into clean electricity with no harmful emissions. Fuel Cell Engineers oversee the design, construction, fitting and maintenance of fuel cells in trains. This role is great for someone who is interested in engineering and wants to be part of this technological breakthrough.

- Designing fuel cells and their components

Qualifications
- STEM subjects at GCSE grades A*-C
- A-Levels in relevant subjects
- Engineering or relevant Bachelor’s degree
- Level 4 NVQ or equivalent T Level in Engineering related subject
- Level 6 Diploma or equivalent Degree Apprenticeship in Engineering or related subject
- Relevant engineering-specific health and safety qualifications
