What does this role involve?

Typical duties include:

  • Creating schedules and assigning train routes to drivers
  • Ensuring that all train drivers on their team are properly trained and certified
  • Monitoring train driver performance and providing coaching and feedback
  • Working with other departments to ensure that trains are running smoothly and on time

Qualifications

  • GCSE grades A*-C
  • A-Levels
  • Train driving or other relevant Foundation Degree
  • Higher National Diploma

  • Level 4 NVQ, equivalent Level 5 Diploma or equivalent Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship in Train Driving or related subject
  • Relevant driver-specific health and safety qualifications
