Typical duties include:

  • Conducting inspections during construction to ensure safety and building regulations are being met
  • Writing reports on inspections
  • Investigating complaints
  • Communicating with stakeholders – such as contractors, architects and property owners

Qualifications

  • STEM subjects at GCSE grades A*-C
  • A-Levels in relevant subjects
  • Level 4 NVQ, Diploma or equivalent T Level in Construction, Engineering, Surveying or related subject
  • Level 3 Apprenticeship in Construction, Engineering, Surveying or related subject
  • Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Construction, Engineering, Surveying or related subject
