What does the role entail?

I manage teams producing Interlocking Data, the Railway’s very own programming language/code that gets installed on site to deliver a safe and secure railway.

What was your educational pathway?

My passion was Electronics Engineering starting from Secondary School, where I carried on into College (BTEC National Diploma) and University (Bachelors Engineering degree). My education gave me my route into engineering, a wide variety of career paths.

What do you love about the role?

I am always learning something new, challenging myself and adapting to new scenarios. I speak to a wider team outside my office where I am always making new networking connections, and the best part is always the office banter.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Playing and watching sports – mainly football (and my FPL team).

Going for walks and hikes, the more scenic the better.
